AUTONOMIC DYSREGULATION IN UNDIFFERENTIATED CONNECTIVE TISSUE DYSPLASIA: PSYCHOEMOTIONAL ASPECTS IN YOUNG WOMEN (#21584)

Introducción
Autonomic imbalance, undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia (uDCT) and disorders of psycho-emotional status are common problems among young women, often coexisting and influencing each other. However, the interrelationships between these conditions are insufficiently studied, which complicates their timely diagnosis and effective treatment. Of particular interest is the assessment of autonomic imbalance using the Kerdo index and its variability in the context of vegetative-vascular dystonia (VVD) and uDST. This study aims to improve the understanding of these relationships and to develop more accurate diagnostic criteria, which may improve the management of patients with these disorders.
Objetivos
To investigate the relationships between autonomic imbalance, undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia and psychoemotional status in young women, and to assess the diagnostic value of Kerdo index variability (KIV) in the context of VVD.
Material y métodos
Forty-five young women (mean age 21.8 ± 2.9 years) with uDST manifestations were examined. The dysplastic stigmatisation index (DSI), autonomic tone, BMI, anxiety level, and the presence of VVD were assessed. Ultrasound and gynaecological examination were performed. Kerdo vegetative index was calculated. Correlation analysis of the data was performed.
Resultados
The predominance of sympathetic system activity in the initial autonomic tone was revealed in only 80% of the examined patients. A strong positive correlation was found between the level of dysplastic stigmatisation and the severity of hypersympathicotonia (r=0.87, p<0.001). Patients with DSI ≥ 17 points (diagnostically significant level) had the most pronounced correlation with hypersympathicotonia characterised by VVD ≤ 2.5. Analysis of the Kerdo index showed significant variability: in individuals with hypersympathicotonia the KIV range was from 1.7 to 3.1 (mean value 2.4 ± 0.7), with the predominance of the parasympathetic system - from 3.1 to 3.5 (mean value 3.3 ± 0.2). A significant correlation between autonomic imbalance and high level of anxiety was revealed (r=0.85, p<0.001). There was a moderate correlation between autonomic imbalance and the presence of gynaecological disorders (r=0.62, p<0.01). There was no significant correlation between autonomic imbalance and BMI (r=0.21, p>0.05).
Conclusiones
The results confirm the complex relationships between autonomic imbalance, nDST and psycho-emotional status in young women. VIC is more informative for the assessment of IBS than its single measurement. A KIV ≥ 2.4 in combination with an DSI ≥ 17 points may be considered a threshold value to confirm the diagnosis of uDST.
